Volunteer Spotlight

Help us Reach the Community with Outdoor Festivals!

This is the season when the Historical Society goes outdoors to participate in community festivals and parades.  We need you to be our public face!
Once again we are lucky to have Tom Holmes portray Uncle Sam, and Don Carter drive his vintage 1926 Model T Ford, in the River Forest Memorial Day Parade on
May 26 and the Oak Park Independence Day Parade on July 4.  But we need you to march, carry signs, and wave to the crowds.  The Memorial Day Parade kicks off at 11:30 am and the July 4th Parade starts at 9:30 am.  Immediately after the parade on    Memorial Day, we will have a table in Keystone Park.
And on Sunday,
June 1, the annual A Day in Our Village festival will be held in Scoville Park.  We need volunteers to staff a table from 10 am-4 pm.  Any volunteers specifically for set-up and breakdown    afterward?
