My name is Michael Heiferman and I am a Boy Scout from Troop 65 in River Forest.  I am working on my Eagle Scout project which is a World War II Veterans Memorial Plaque that will permanently be placed in the River Forest Public Library.  This project is being sponsored by The River Forest Service Club.

The Historical Society of Oak Park and River Forest has helped me with much of my research.  I was able to look through their collection of World War II archives and found some of the names listed below.  On the plaque, there are currently over 1,000 veterans who served in World War II and also lived in River Forest.  I am asking for help from the public to find anymore names of veterans that fit this same criteria.
