Manley Stacey Civil War Letters

   November 26, 1862 (to Father)

On the Road between This is something like trav-    
Chicago & Adrian Mich eling.  I shall try & Post this    
 Dear Father at Cleveland.  We have four    
I wrote you a Days Rations of Beef & Soft    
letter last night, but did Bread.   6 AM  This is better than    
not send it.  I will send it I expected.  We have had    
with this.  This morning I was a pretty good time on    
busy, from  the Time, we had the Road, though but little    
breakfast, till we left.  I went chance to sleep.  We arrived    
to the Marine Hospital & to in Toledo at 7,30 AM.  there
the General Hospital, Getting we had some Good Coffee    
together Bill Prices things We left Toledo, for Cleveland,    
& Doing Errands for the Cap after changing Cars.  We left    
We were ordered into line Toledo about 12.  I shall    
at 1,30 PM, & marched about send this letter by Lieut    
3/4 of a mile to the Mich South- Moor, he says, he will do

6 PM, almost Froze to Death I very much doubt wheth-
